Annar Multimedia Center Project

AMMC (Annar Multimedia Center) was a project funded by USAID through the AMDEP, Afghanistan Media Development and Empowerment Program. Internews the first project implementing agency and the key partner of USAID through ADWRO in the North region implemented AMMC project.
The project began by August 2011 and ended successfully by July 2015 with a total funding of USD 430,580.
The scope of the project was to enable the community gaining their access to the new technology through a fully equipped center.
ADWRO through the project objectives, during the project life conducted several computer and Internet introductory and advanced programs to a large number of school and university students. The center beneficiaries were also provided with photo journalism, audacity program, digital storytelling and photography training courses which said program enabled student by building their capacity and carriers.
University journalism department’s students using the facilities (voice recorders and photography digital cameras) practice to conduct outreach activities and do voice interviews with community and hunt interesting pictures from the city views and the community.
